Account deletion

You can delete your GatherIn account and the data that belongs to it at any time. This page explains how, and what happens to your data.

Deleting in the app

1. Open the GatherIn app and go to the Profile tab.
2. Open Settings with the gear icon.
3. Scroll down to “Danger zone”, tap “Delete account” and confirm.

A 14-day grace period

Your profile disappears from other users right away. For 14 days you can change your mind: tap “Cancel deletion” in Settings to restore your account. After the grace period the deletion is final and cannot be undone.

What is permanently deleted

• your account and sign-in details (email address, password);
• your profile: name, photos, bio, interests, links, posts;
• messages you sent in private, group and Gatheer chats;
• events you organised, with their applications, ratings and chats;
• Gatheers and groups you own, with their rooms and messages;
• your applications, tickets, ratings and reliability history;
• your friendships, follows, blocks, notifications, devices and settings.

What stays, without your name

Some records belong to other people’s data or to the safety of the platform (e.g. moderation decisions, invitations you sent, check-ins). They stay, but the link to you is removed, so they no longer identify you.

Deleting without the app

If you can no longer use the app, write to the address below from the email address you registered with, with the subject “Account deletion”. We check that the account is yours and start the same deletion — within one month at the latest.
